1. Write the equation of the ellipse that satisfies the given condition then draw and identify the different points
a. center at (6,2) foci at (10,2) and (2,2) vertex at (12,2)
b. ends of major axis (2,6) and (2,-2) one focus at (2,5)
c. center at (3,6) length of major axis=10, length of minor axis=6, major axis parallel to y-axis.
2. An ellipse has its center at the origin and one of its vertices is the point (0,-6). If the ellipse passes through the point (3,4), find its equation and eccentricity.
3. The vertices of an ellipse are (2,2) and (8,2) and its eccentricity is 1/3 (?). Find the equation of the ellipse, the coordinates of the foci, the lengths of the major and minor axis and the LR. K. Thankyu.
